University of Exeter archaeologist Dr Chris Smart will return to Bere Alston on 26th November, to present the results and findings of the ‘What’s in your back garden?’ community archaeology weekend, organised by the Tamar Valley AONB in July 2012.

The talk starts at 7.30pm at the Parish Hall, Bere Alston, and is part of the Bere Alston Local History Society’s programme of lectures. A £1 donation towards the Society would be appreciated, and refreshments will be available afterwards. Come along to find out what we found and how it adds to our understanding of the heritage of Bere Alston.

Chris Smart’s full report on the Community Dig can be viewed at www.tamarvalley.org.uk (click on Projects, Cordiale, scroll down to ‘past events’)
