Over sixty images of the most treasured parts of the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty will go on display in a special exhibition at the Tamar Valley Centre from 2nd – 11th December.
As part of this year’s celebrations to mark 20 years since the Tamar Valley was designated as an AONB, local residents were invited to submit photographs of their favourite spots within the Valley, for a chance to win a Cornish Welcome Tour of their choice, courtesy of John Marshall, chair of the Tamar Valley Tourism Association.
The exhibition, organised by the AONB’s Helping Hands for Heritage project, will showcase the many hidden treasures this landscape has to offer, and celebrate the variety of the landscape within the youngest of AONBs in England & Wales.
Come along to the ‘Hidden Valley’ exhibition, open Monday-Friday, 11am – 4pm, to see if your favourite part of the Valley is on show. You are welcome to bring photographs along on the day – they won’t be entered into the competition, but it will add to the range of special shots from throughout the Valley. The winner will be announced at a special evening opening on Friday 11th December, all are welcome to attend. The photographs will be judged by local photographer, Sarah Marshall – www.sarahmarshallphotography.co.uk
