A warm welcome awaits at the Tamar Valley Centre, Drakewalls, this summer, with the reception fully staffed every weekday throughout the holidays.

Just 5 minutes’ walk from Gunnislake Station on the beautiful Tamar Valley Line, the Tamar Valley Centre is the perfect place to start exploring this special landscape, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1995.

The Tamar Valley Centre was designed by ZEDFactory and is a low energy, zero fossil emission building, with features including a sedum roof, solar panels, an innovative ventilation system and cedar cladding grown within 5 miles of the building. It was opened in 2009 by HRH The Princess Royal.

IMG_8083Charlotte Dancer, from the Tamar Valley AONB team says, “Not only is the Tamar Valley Centre a gateway for visitors to the Tamar Valley, it is also a resource for the community, with space for exhibitions, public events and meetings. Pop by when you’re next passing to see what the Centre has to offer and how we can best meet your requirements”.

The Tamar Valley Centre reception is fully staffed Mondays to Fridays, between 11am and 4pm, until the first week in September.
