Valley Volunteers: Tamar Community Trust Working Party – Tamar Trails

1 February, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 4:00 pm

Hedge laying training – there is a short section of 6 year old hazel shrubs alongside part of the Morwellham Railway Trail that we can learn and practice hedge laying skills with. They are growing too thickly and starting to obstruct part of the trail width so this is a perfect opportunity to improve the trail and learn or practice this skill.
We shall be working with various hand tools, using safe cutting techniques and discussing different styles and techniques of hedge laying.
Lunch & refreshments provided. Wear sturdy footwear, gloves & be prepared for the weather on the day. All tools and training provided. If you have a favourite pruning saw, hand axe/billhook or loppers feel free to bring them.
Please contact Dave if you intend to come along.
