Apple Grafting

6 March, 2015 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

6 Mar applesFind out more about the fine art of apple grafting this spring and take a tree home with you! Join Dave Readman and Simon Platten (Tamar Grow Local) to find out about the theory, enjoy a delicious lunch provided by Tamar Grow Local, and then get into the practical work in the afternoon (outside if fine weather). There will then be a chance to take a tree home! Volunteers will also be required at the end of the session to take the grafted trees to Harrowbarrow to heal them in and keep them safe before planting the following Saturday (14th March).
All equipment and materials, lunch and refreshments will be provided for this FREE event. Please note: participants should be confident about handling a knife and will be assessed by the supervisors for safety. Booking essential as places are limited.
