Heritage Conservation Lecture – What archaeologists do to buildings
14 November, 2018 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
Free Lecture & Cream Tea
Popular perception is that the natural habitat of the archaeologist is down a muddy hole, and people do not expect to find us on scaffolding. But studying the above-ground parts of buildings is a natural extension of the art of archaeological interpretation. This talk by Stuart Blaylock will explore the ways that archaeologists interact with historic buildings, based on the speaker’s long experience in the West Country and elsewhere.
