Guided Heritage Walk – Discover Tavistock: The Railways

9 October, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

£5
Bedford Square, Tavistock

Join Stephen Fryer for a predominantly-level guided walk, which will include remnants of the old railbed.

By the end of the 19th century, Tavistock boasted not one, but two railways – the South Devon and Tavistock Railway and the Plymouth, Devonport and South Western Junction Railway.

Both lines were closed in the 1960s, but we can still trace some of the remains of the lines and the associated buildings, bridges and viaducts.

Please wear suitable footwear.

Meet: Tavistock Visitor Information Centre
