From the multi-million pound Tamar Valley Mining Heritage Project, to smaller schemes and developments, the Tamar Valley is buzzing with innovative and exciting work to improve your access and understanding of this stunning landscape.
Tamar Valley Mining Heritage Project: Find out more about the Project Overview, Tamar Trails, Downhill Mountain Bike Trails, Morwellham Nature Reserve, Community Links and What's On! Still on-going, this ambitious project has seen a whole range of major refurbishments to heritage sites and the creation of 25km of new trails. Smaller schemes throughout the project have involved the local community, talented artists, energetic school groups, archaeologists, performers, writers and local historians, to name a few. Since 2005, the Tamar Valley AONB has worked with funders and partners to bring about some exciting results using the £6 million funding garnered from various sources.
East Cornwall Regeneration Project: This £1.8 million project was completed in Summer 2009, after five years of progressive work.
