Over sixty images of the most treasured parts of the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are now on display in a special exhibition at the Tamar Valley Centre until Friday 29th April.
As part of last year’s celebrations to mark 20 years since the Tamar Valley was designated as an AONB, local residents were invited to submit photographs of their favourite spots within the Valley, for a chance to win a Cornish Welcome Tour of their choice, courtesy of John Marshall, chair of the Tamar Valley Tourism Association.
The exhibition, organised by the AONB’s Helping Hands for Heritage project, showcases the many hidden treasures this landscape has to offer, and celebrates the variety of the landscape within the youngest of AONBs in England & Wales.
The exhibition was first shown in December 2015, but the AONB team is proud to display it again as part of this year’s Tavistock Festival.
Come along to the ‘Hidden Valley’ exhibition, Monday-Friday, 10am – 4pm, to see if your favourite part of the Valley is on show and to see the winning entry. Limited edition note cards of some of the images are available to buy for only £1.
