We are delighted to be partners in the University of Exeter’s Understanding Landscape project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The project is enabling communities in the Tamar Valley and elsewhere to investigate and analyse the origins of the local historic landscape and become engaged in its future management.
In the Tamar Valley, the focus areas are Calstock, Bere Ferrers and Cotehele with their rich diversity of heritage, spanning the prehistoric through to post-medieval periods. The project is focussing initially on the Roman and medieval communities.
